Jedi Shadows, by their nature, will not be front and center. Its established by this point that they are literally a corner of the Jedi Order that's functionally on their last handful of members. Yoda and CFK are trying to prevent that by getting Ahsoka inducted and seeing if she can make it. Master Damsin has an 'issue' which is addressed in the next chapter that especially makes this a time sensitive issue. Next, why hide or be covert in this op? I've hinted at the reason already - the old lady is the mother of a woman who's being potentially forced to make bioweapons or possibly has already made them. The latter is not a fact you release in public.

Not too sure about this. On the one hand, you know that anything you digitize, even if you put in on a secure hard network that's not on the Holonet, which links directly to your office, would be tough nut to crack, but not impossible. On the other hand, if you keep the alchemy knowledge only on the ancient scrolls and in your top secret lair, its safe, right until a fire/disaster of strikes. Would Palpy take the time to focus his foresight constantly on his lair? When he has a galaxy spanning machination nearing its completion. No.

Ya this shadow stuff post boming is the first I’ve genuinely lost interest. Isn’t this just repeating what she learn from the kamino master? If anything these methods are inferior to what kina already taught her right? They should be. Feels like retreading ground already covered for a filler plot episode.

Couple things. All the shadow stuff seems a bit extreme. Both the training and the abilities. If Jedi with the abilities you are showing existed, where were they for pretty much all of canon. Or even just the earlier parts of this story. Second, I'm a bit confused why they needed to send a super rare highly trained spy/infiltrator to take an old woman into protective custody. Why do they need to hide anything about what they are doing, why waste the time setting up a cover. Nothing they are doing needs to be hidden from what I can see.
