Early Progress Report Week 48
🕑 Added 2021-12-04 12:37:40 +0000 UTCThe reason for this very early progress report is because we, unfortunately, have to change some things regarding the upcoming 0.8.1 update, and we wanted to share this with you guys, the fans... right away.
We have come to the decision that we have to move Suzie's Level 2 content to January's 0.8.2 development cycle.
There will still be an update this month, but it will only contain the planned M&S content.
There are multiple reasons on why we had to make that decision, reasons that I will explain now.
Producing the amount of content that we do every month, it's always been a joy, but also a struggle at times.
As you can imagine, writing 50.000+ words, creating 1.500 images and animations, and even coming up with all the ideas for that, and doing all that in a single month, and every month. It can be a challenge every now and then.
Now, all of that used to be no problem because I (J..D) was able to take a couple days off near the end of the month while Boom took care of Patreon and got the builds ready.
Time off that I desperately needed each month in order to get ready for another month.
But, now that Boom has gone away, those things have also fallen on our plates.
I was hoping that we could just continue as we've always done and that I could even ask more of myself, because simply... I love developing Sweet Affection and don't mind working 80+ hours weekly on it.
And you guys, the fans. You deserve nothing less but our full devotion, and we want to give that to you guys.
But, as much as I want to spend even more time working on Sweet Affection and Naughty Attic Gaming, there comes a point where my health tells me to slow down and that I've gone over my limit, and unfortunately, I reached that point a couple days ago while starting on the 0.8.1 content.
(I guess doing even more work, in an even shorter time-frame for the early December release was not a good idea, who knew?)
I barely can look at the screen at this moment without getting dizzy, so that is a clear sign that I need to take a couple of days off in order to get ready to finish the other content that is planned for the 0.8.1 update.
And with the early release that we are planning (A decision that we can not reverse because some team members already made plans)
Well, there is no way that we can finish Suzie's Level 2 content in time.
Even though we are pretty disappointed in ourselves for not being able to go on as we've always done, we also understand that something like this was bound to happen.
That it's a part of getting used to this new situation, to finding our own way as Naughty Attic Gaming.
Finding out what is possible, and what's not possible.
And also maybe realizing that we might need to hire someone to help us out, so we can keep going as we've always done.
I understand if any of you are disappointed, and we have tried the past couple of days to push through it, because you guys deserve it.
But, we feel like this is not only the best decision short term but also long term.
And we try to make it up to you with producing quality M&S content as you have been used to for the past years.
The roadmap (that you can find by clicking HERE) will show you the newly planned content for 0.8.1
As well as the content that is now planned for the 0.8.2 update in January.
If any of you have any questions or comments.
As always, we are here to answer and listen to them.
Once again, we are truly sorry for having to come back on our promise for this month's development.

Hi a little note from me, please stay tuned every now and then to tell the old page that there is a new one. I only noticed it myself this week. That you get your money too. Best regards
Pax
No worries! This is a marathon, not a sprint. Take care of your health and if you have to create an update schedule that is not as ambitious as it was when Boom was able to help, then that makes total sense. I'm honestly just glad that RIA/SA is continuing, even if at a slower pace. Thanks for the update!
