As a karter I am curious as to what kind of engine will come with a frame, and what kind of frame it will be. If it's a competition kart frame (Like the one in my PFP) it might not be too bad an idea to get one that has been bent and jigged as it will be straight enough to not be terrible, and also way cheaper. The only thing is it won't be as fast as a fresh chassis but that won't matter especially if you don't plan to race it (Which by the fact it's being made electric tells me this is the case). I'd also reccomend looking around for some rolling chassis without engines as most karts will have the majority of the cost in the engine.

And what the kid manages to crash into. He might want to limit the top speed of that thing somehow, even though 5 year olds bounce real good it could still do some human body damage. I bounced off stuff on the regular riding bikes downhill and hitting parked cars at that age. I don't *twitch* have lasting *eye twitch* damage.

Curious how long the go kart will last with that battery

Can we have a buggy build video? Would love that!
"Anti-Theft Alarm" is exactly that, it's a plug for an alarm system with an immobilizer (which is why it has three wires) https://www.electricscooterparts.com/hookup/ALM-120.pdf

Today I learned there's such a thing as a Ryobi... soldering station? And you have it. Is it battery operated? :-p Of course it is.

Happy to help, looking foward to when it's done!

That's an excellent note. The controller I got is 1500w. Good thing I have two batteries

I'm not going to go too crazy with repainting. I'll take off a lot of the panels, but not all of them

Having used ryobi 40v batts to run electric scooters, neat to someone else doing something similar. Word of warning though, they are only good for about 1kw each, which a converted alternator will definitely draw more than. You might want to parallel up a couple of them if you can.

A plethora of content coming out. I really just wanted an excuse to use the word plethora. Plethora.... It's just a pithy word.
Glad to see the bus again.

Two questions. First why do you still have the Saabβs hood? And secondly when you repaint the bus are you going to fully repaint or are you gunna leave bits of the old paint behind like the door jams and back side of panels?
I really want to send you a bright green t-shirt that has the words Ryobi printed in white all over it. π
