The problem with Owen’s jokes, and I liked his stuff don’t get me wrong, is that they’re super generic. When you build your routine off of like “men and women are different” which is baby’s first stand up topic, you can’t get mad when you see similar jokes in other sets. It’s like rapping about money and guns and trying to claim that as uniquely your own thing.

I think Wes is definitely feeding the trolls on purpose now, as a pivot, and he’ll eventually say he was always doing that to get famous, but he wasn’t. He started off earnest and genuinely thought he came off as a badass. The problem, I think, with him even as a lolcow is that he’s boring. He responds the same way. His crash outs don’t get bigger and he’s not creative or funny enough to respond in any other way than just saying “you’re weird bro. I have money bro. You don’t bro” and that’s why I think even the trolls will get bored of him

I don’t think I’ve covered that but I do remember Kanye mentioning it. I think Owen also said David Lucas stole one of his jokes too. I don’t know if there’s merit to it but maybe I’ll look into it.

Have you ever covered if Dave Chappelle actually stole jokes from Owen Benjamin? I've tried searching for some specific jokes but wasn't able to find any. You'll remember this was a Kanye claim, back when he was kicking it with Nick Fuentes and Alex Jones. Just curious if there's any merit to it.
