(PS. there are some of my own experiences but also wishes mixed in. it all went well in the end when i came out, but still it would've saved me so many years of insecurity and fear of rejection if my parents would've been more transparent about their views when i was young, so this is just to give context for the scene from a queer POV!)

The more I read the more deeply I fall in love with Ghost Lights. This is so heartbreaking and tender and beautiful. I can just feel the care you put into it. The way you are able to balance the hope of concern and care and acceptance with the harsher realities of rejection is so well done. I’m so sorry things were difficult for you and that it is still such a difficult time for so many others too
