first: bunny grandpa Mickey is doing fine!!! yesterday and today was so much better and he's been eating a lot, and he's very active again. he had problems with his tummy, but after 5 days of taking care of him and being worried and checking on him every few minutes to hours i think i can say that now ;; i'm so relieved
then, in April the comic got on the frontpage on webtoons again, which is a huge boost in exposure everytime!! a looot of new readers have found it, and it's super exciting. but also a little scary hahah. the feedback overall was wonderful π but a lot of new readers means there are many more people wondering why it updates once a month.
most people don't know about my health situation / my injured hand and with so many readers i think it's time to explain in the comic itself why the pace is perfect for me. i decided to make an extra episode for May. see sketches above~ i will introduce myself in a small "meet the artist" drawing, explain why Ghost Lights currently updates once a month, how i work, and so on! just state the simple reality of things. i do have limits but i still can make the comic work and i think that's the only thing that matters here π
btw if there's anything on your mind... something you'd like to know about me personally, or something about my working routine? please tell me! i might include it, too!!

this is such a sweet question ππ i had to think about it for a bit, and i'm not sure if i can include it in the episode, but want to reply anyway! i think it's one part just my personality (my partner said "it's because you're a sap" hahah which is true!) but i also really value interaction with the people who feel connected to my story ;; i think one of the best rewards for me is when people tell me their thoughts and how they feel while reading it. and i just feel so thankful because it's not a given someone would even read it. you guys give me the chance to work on something i love. i don't like treating it as "just numbers" it's one reason why i was super frustrated the past months, because i noticed myself comparing numbers but i'm not very competitive, so it felt pretty pointless to me. i actually value reactions, comments and replies and messages from my readers much more and it's most motivating for me ;; i know that without an invested audience it would be hard to keep going, and also i really want to SHARE this story and the characters with others. however when it comes to how i'm doing it, i must say it's sometimes hard to care because i care about negative comments, too. and i need to learn how to separate this somehow ;; i don't want to become rude or lose what i value, but i have to step back sometimes, too, so i find a nice balance between caring for the right people and not caring at all one day. π¦π
I am glad! I do have a personal question - you are very loving towards your fans, how do you do it? Where does it come from? Anything you can share? It is a wonderful thing, I really love that about you!!!
