🕑 Added 2018-06-04 00:25:35 +0000 UTCmy babies πΈ you're awesome and i can't you thank enough for your support!! i told you that i was very nervous about the merchandise, but you've baffled me in the most positive way and now that i'm not so nervous and all over the place anymore i can concentrate on progressing the story again β€ i also noticed that i really really needed a break from drawing the comic itself, to fill up my creative resources.
i went and thought about many things in the meantime - there was this issue with people thinking Robin is going to force Noah; and it absolutely closed something for me. maybe i just needed time to think about what i want, too.
which brings me to... i do have warnings right in the beginning of the comic. and i noticed for quite a while now that many literal kids post directly under it, telling me stuff like "i'm born on the same day as Noah, but i'm only eleven years old!!" and the more kids tell me their super young ages the more i feel the need to completely put the comic under a mature warning / rating. and well, i won't be doing this to protect the kids. they will look at everything without being 18, we all know how it really is.
it's more like... i want to protect myself? i just want to do it like i want to. it's not because of sex scenes either, it is because of the general direction of the story. it will always keep the weird softness, even when it gets gradually darker, but it will never be a fluffy story... think about Watership Down? cute bunnies, and blood. it's this kind of story. i am aware that kids are reading it, and while i revised scenes and rewrote stuff (i'm still at it) i often thought "man, can i even do that, when kids are reading th-" and here's where i noticed i have to stop thinking like that. I CAN π₯
anyway, talking about kids! it is a little bit related? a tiny bit. this is also a little spoiler... you see the freckled boy with Robin? it was his first boyfriend! a first of many partners. while Robin was already 16 and fell in love and started dating, Noah only just began to grow into a teenager - and suddenly, without a warning, Noah wasn't the only one for Robin anymore... i look forward to telling these things of their current past; because they shaped both of them a lot

That's some healthy thinking you got there! π I'm glad. Btw should we be scared of that freckled boy?! xD but I guess it could help Noah to realize some things if he got jealous π

You have the appropriate warnings so if they read it it's their own fault. No one can blame you and you should not worry too much yourself. I'm glad you've decided you can keep doing what you'd wanted with this story. im so excited to see where its going and to live through the pain and joy of their growth in themselves and their relationship..... also I have an interview Thursday so if i get it i can finally buy some of your stuff because I need it

I appreciate you being so honest about your feelings recently! Consumption of ANY media is a choice of the reader, so Iβm glad youβve found a path that suits YOU! More excited than ever about the continuation of the Babesβ story! β€οΈ (and oooh will there be jealous Noah? I bet there will at least be slightly jealous Noah...)
