Mermay - deep sea boyfriends
🕑 Added 2018-05-05 03:17:02 +0000 UTCmy friend asked me to draw them again and i had such a blast the past hours !! i've sketched a lot ;; i love working on OCs so much. i've designed them last year for #mermay and it's really the perfect time to pick them up again. their names are Veska (a ghost shark) and Eli (he's a lantern fish / angler fish mix)
i'm fascinated and a bit scared by the deep sea for as long as i remember and i might or might not be a little bit of a monster f...... lover! so yeah, self indulgence 100% with these two
Veska is very calm and shy even, while Eli is a huge flirt and showers his crush with gifts and affection (dead fish and glowy flowers. romantic yeah?)
Eli has a hard time winning Veska's heart at first, or at least it seems like it, but i'm sure some dangerous things will spice it up real fast (OKAY OKAY I HAVE NO IDEA YET! maybe a little bit of an idea though~ i'll keep you updated)
here's some more from last year

Cute!
Definitely keep us updated! I missed them so much.
Lol I love how Eli's tail is just casually wrapped around Veska's XD those little bits of affection are the best
maybe i can really draw a short comic of them, that'd be so nice ; ; i love working on Ghost Lights but having another small project is refreshing once in a while <3 and i'm so glad you like them already!! thank you π
ahhh i'm glad to hear this thank you!! i love sharks, too π¦ there are so many cute species of them
i hope i can throw tons of them at you <33 and little hidden touches like the tangled tails are so much fun to draw ; ;

Oh boy... two of my favorite things...
there are so many possibilities....! it's nice to work on them and if i find the time i'd like to make a short comic with them. adding a bit of sads and a bit of angst, too <3

They are both so beautiful! I'm really happy you drew more of them and I definitely wouldn't mind seeing more of them outside of May as well. <3
