I'm currently debating whether I want to do all or part of chapter 1 or 3 for Zach. Both are about 20 minutes long, which feels just a liiiiiittle long for a teaser, but also, I'm kind of lazy and don't think I want to bother with clipping the file. π We will see. That will probably be my next post here. If you have a preference for chapter 1 vs chapter 3, let me know!
As for the release date, I'm currently waiting for my shop to be configured so I can sell in the UK and EU. Unfortunately there's a bit of a hold up on the representative's end and I don't think it'll be set up by the 15th like I was originally hoping. Basically everything else is ready to go. I just need them to configure things so I can collect/remit VAT and am in compliance with all the UK and EU regulations. Trying to set up this shop has been an absolute crash course in e-commerce platforms, Shopify integrations, international taxes, and more. π But hopefully they'll get the shop configured in the next week or so, and I'll be able to start selling this audiobook! I'll keep you updated.
On the plus side, once this is all done, I should be good to sell whatever I want to the UK and EU, including merch, signed books, etc. The US is still a massive problem with the tariff situation, but that's future me's problem to tackle. π€¦ββοΈ

Thank you! π₯° And ouch. It really is a mess. π£ I'm hoping the Supreme Court strikes down the tariffs when they hear the case next month, but I'm definitely not holding my breath for it.

Sounds so good. Shipping to the USA is a mess right now. $22 in taxes for small package from Canada. This is a place I have ordered from frequently. Sigh....

I like things in order too, so that's one of the main pros for chapter 1. That and Tristan. π I actually do really like learning new things, so in general that's not a problem, but oh boy, all of this is outside my wheelhouse, lol. It definitely falls into the things I had no clue I'd need to be able to figure out when I first decided to publish a book. Like, I just wanted to write werewolf porn, how did this end with me hours deep in researching EU regulations? π€£ And thank you so much! I'd love to start on the Bonds books next year, but I want to see how this does first. I don't expect to earn back everything I'm putting into it immediately (though if 1000 people want to buy it on day one, I will not stop them, lol), but I'm hoping it will at least look like it will eventually pay for itself. Fingers crossed! π

I hate things out of order, so I vote chapter 1! This is SO GOOD. AHHH! I can't wait to shove the whole thing in my ear holes π I'm sorry it's been such a learning curve to figure out. I think I can safely say we are all incredibly grateful you're making it happen. I want this to be a huge success for you because first, you deserve it to be, and second, I'm hoping for audiobook versions of the Bonds books, next π π€π€

Thankfully US audio is all good! The main issue right now with the tariffs is if I want to ship something to the US. Japan Post has stopped shipping packages with any commercial value to the US and the cheapest private shipper I could find starts at $25 per small package. π

Yeah, that's why I was thinking maybe chapter 3. Get that first little bit of interaction between them. And yes! The plan is to sell it exclusively in my shop for about two weeks while it's in Audible's queue, but we'll see how long getting my shop configured ends of taking. This is my first time doing all of this, so I'm really just playing it by ear and figuring it all out as I go. But it should be up on Audible by early November (unless there's a hold up on their end).

Definitely chapter 3, especially the end, where Richard meets Hunter! Also, will you be selling the audiobook on any platforms other than your shop? I usually buy from Audible, but I'll buy it from wherever I need to.
