Striking a delicate balance between such a hard reality becomes more feasible without Hamas—a terrorist group that has never intended to offer a constructive path toward peaceful coexistence with Israel, and instead exploits its own people as human shields, weaponizing civilian casualties to provoke global condemnation of Israel and to galvanize radical anti-Zionist factions, particularly among far-left movements, into targeting Jewish communities worldwide. If Hamas is forced out of the picture, a win-win scenario becomes more attainable. The hatred and violence that have consumed generations may be set aside, at least temporarily, if economic incentives prove strong enough to outweigh the pull of vengeance. While the Trump-Netanyahu 20-point deal has garnered broad support from the West and key Arab states, it places Hamas in a precarious position, facing a historic crossroads: accept a deal that could immediately end the war, dismantle its power and influence, and perhaps merely push back its demise—postponing each martyr’s appointment to meet 72 virgins since, as Dr. Shen speculated, Israel’s Mossad may still pursue them abroad—or reject it outright, risking global isolation and accelerated military obliteration. If Hamas chooses to forfeit its claim to survival, Netanyahu will be vindicated: his old nemesis self-destructing well before the very same lip-service politicos and sanctimonious progressives attempt to cancel his own political career. In a bitter twist of irony, Hamas’s downfall may serve as Netanyahu’s redemption—be it political or strategic—and Trump’s remarkable achievement, while their critics dust off sneers for what they deem a futile plan, unaware the tide has already turned. The outcome remains unknown. As an outsider, however, nothing delights me more than watching people parade their ignorance and trumpet their self-righteousness.
