I've said it before and I will say it again, I love your story files the best. You're a great story teller. This felt a level above your normal story, though. It was almost as though the listener had done something wrong and you were telling this story as a way to process their mistake and their emotions surrounding their mistake. It was fairy tale level storytelling, in that way. While it won't go into regular rotation for me, I'll tuck it away for a time when I might need a way to process my own emotions around a screw up. Very well done. I wonder in what other interesting ways stories can be used?
