I have felt comforted by this sweet file by imagining being in my secret garden, weary, wistful thoughts in my mind. This time it's in the dead of night round about 2am ... sitting propped up by a cushion on a garden bench... looking at the moon and twinkling starlight. Hedgehogs and little nocturnal creatures are scurrying away when an owl lands on the old apple tree...then i turn to look at the old gate creaking as it was opened and as if by magic Sir sits on the bench talking in a soft voice about the need to sleep and other things i can't remember through the brain fog of an insomniac mind. The soft tone of the hypnotic voice making things very drifty and the images melted away, gently dissipating...i woke up around 4.30 am as usual and although it was just around 2 and a half hours it felt very restful and comforting. Functioning on a basic level has been exceptionally difficult this past week with cognitive processes virtually non existent, like walking, wading through treacle mentally and physically. Insomnia can be a sad, solitary place to be every night but it was so nice to have some caring, soothing company, if only in my sanctuary, the imaginary garden in my mind resting for a little while, that means a lot...Thank you Sir for keeping me company for a little while :) ❤️
