Chapter 501. Doubts. World Presence. [AotSC]

For example, a human could be a <Ceperet Flame Human> or a <Ceperet Cat Human>. Nevertheless, the <Ceperet> prefix would be there since they were humans born and raised in this world.
Now, seeing a human with <Vesial> in their name instead of <Ceperet>, Ignatia and Melody couldn’t help but raise eyebrows.
“Melody.” Ignatia looked at the corpse stuck on her arm with her antennae twitching. “Do you know anything about this?”
Melody shook her head. “No. What about you?”
The Ant Queen pondered for a few seconds, making Melody look over with suspicious eyes. The Ant Queen smiled wryly. “Don’t look at me like that. As I’ve said in the past, I have memories of past Ant Queens. And, not all Ant Queens failed in their quest to become World Rulers. Nevertheless, the Ant Queens were eventually defeated.”
Melody frowned. “How? It’s not like there can be something that can challenge an Ant Queen that has achieved World Ruling.”
Ignatia smiled and flew back while carrying Kaelis’s corpse by the hair. “I also thought the same. However, during the visions and memories, I saw the starry sky glittering. The attacks during the final moments of that Ant Queen also came from the sky.” She muttered. “Back then, I thought that someone with long-range bombardment spells had appeared among the intelligent races, leading the charge against the Ant Queen. Now…”
Melody looked at Ignatia with a surprised expression. “You are not thinking of creatures beyond our world, right?”
“What else can it be, then?”
Melody frowned deeply. “But, there is no information about life beyond our world.”
“There is also no information about skills beyond S Rank.” Ignatia smiled wryly.
Melody paused and looked at Ignatia with a surprised look. “There are skills beyond S Rank?”
“Perhaps.” Ignatia sighed. “Either way, if what we are discussing is remotely truthful, killing Kaelis will cause much bigger consequences than we thought previously. Moreover, Kaelis is far from being a top powerhouse in the Abyssal Void Nexus. We can assume two scenarios from that information.
Melody muttered. “The first should be that the people above her are either from the same place as her, or Kaelis infiltrated, intending to eventually take over.”
Ignatia agreed. “Yes. The first is that the other side is somewhat equal to us and is trying to slowly infiltrate our planet to take over by any means, eventually.” Her tone became somewhat heavy as she spoke about the second option. “The other is… We are part of a system so big and powerful that we are considered a backward world. So, they sent some of their juniors here to train them before picking them. Naturally, those juniors have parents, and if one of them is too strong…”
Melody’s face paled, and she began thinking of different scenarios. “That… Aren’t we doomed in that scenario then?”
“The only way we are not is that there is more than one otherworldly power in our world, and they are at odds. That way, even if some important junior dies, the other side won’t move within a short amount of time. The other side will be quite happy about it, after all.”
Ignatia and Melody’s conversation reached Liu Shu as well. Curious, she asked the system a few things. ‘System, are there any <Vesial Humans> in the kill notifications I overlooked after my war against the Nexus?’

Liu Shu frowned deeply as she caressed her flat stomach. “Hm… So few among the hundreds of thousands I killed. Well, whatever, I’ll discuss it when I wake up.” Liu Shu looked down and muttered. “It’s so strange not to have a baby growing in my stomach.” The child with an unknown parent growing in her stomach had long since been born. It was currently in arms, suckling her milk with eyes closed in joy. The girl’s flaming hair, blood-red eyes, and lower flower half were extremely similar to her big sister Pyara.
“To think that I have given birth to another Sanguine Blaze… Is the semi-intelligent race I give birth to unique to each Sylvan, or was it a coincidence?” Liu Shu yawned, feeling sleepy because her Leveling Up took up a lot of her energy. “Well, it doesn’t matter. The threat is done, so I should go back to sleep.”
She leaned back with eyes closed and fell into a deep sleep again while protective energies surrounded her Avatar body and the Sanguine Blaze.
Ignatia and Melody wanted to discuss with Liu Shu, but they could feel the energy focused on their current location dissipate. This was a clear sign of Liu Shu going back to sleep after the problem was dealt with.
The two women smiled wryly. “Couldn’t she stay behind a bit to discuss?”
Ignatia chuckled. “Let her rest. The attack she received from Kaelis is quite heavy. So, recovering might take a while.”
Melody pointed and shook her head. “You might be wrong. Look, I can visibly see the wood growing back and reattaching.”
Thinking that Liu Shu’s body was full of precious materials, Ignatia looked down and started making clicking sounds with her throat. The clicks were not too loud, but the sound was piercing and far-reaching.
Melody was curious about what Ignatia was doing. Her doubts were answered almost straight away.
Tens of thousands of ants surged from the ground and moved as one entity, gathering Liu Shu’s spilled sap, leaves, bark, and roots. With the tireless ants working on it, the field was cleaned up in less than 30 minutes. Melody didn’t move during the whole time, admiring the ant’s work.
“If Intelligent Races were half as efficient as your races, the world would be much different.”
Ignatia chuckled. “If that were true, then I would never surface and mimic the Terragore lifestyle. Who would want to deal with such a coordinated and tireless group of intelligent creators? I would just be asking for a beating.” Then, she snorted. “Thankfully, greed, envy, and many other qualities make for a great stopper of what the intelligent races could’ve been.”
“I guess you are right.” Melody smiled before she looked around. “So, should we leave?”
Ignatia nodded. “I can feel that Flor is almost done with her Leveling Up, so I want to go and meet her.”
“Meet with her?” Melody teased. “Right. We are both old-timers, and I know what you want to do. Still, consider leaving the corpse of that woman somewhere.”
“Hm? I was thinking of giving it to my babies.”
“Don’t.” Melody spoke lightly and explained her reasoning. “If the enemy is truly some otherworldly power, they might want the corpse of their deceased back. It is better to keep it just in case. It can be our chip for survival with an uncertain future.”
Ignatia struggled. “Ugh… But my babies will love it!”
Melody knew that the Ant Queen was messing around. So, she just smiled and bumped her shoulder with hers. “Stop being silly. I will return and take a good shower. After that, gather the trustworthy leaders so that we can discuss what we discovered.”
Both women left the place, leaving the coast as peaceful as it was before they came. No one would believe that three peak powerhouses had fought a life-and-death battle here, were it not for the altered landscape bearing witness to their clash.
Meanwhile, back in the Abyssal Void Nexus, the people cooperating with Kaelis had already started working on a method to prevent news of their mistakes from leaving the surface of the world. They really didn’t want a Star Lord to be on their back because of Eryndis.
“Is that person so vengeful?” Asked one of them, doubtful about Kaelis’ hurried actions.
“Actually, Kaelis is just one of his bastard children. Some Star Lords go from planet to planet and have children with locals. The children who end up becoming strong powerhouses then become the proof that the planet they were on is one of quality. A Star Lord usually governs a very small region of space. Some only govern a single Solar System, while others govern three or four of them.”
“How high is their level?”
“How high…?” The person frowned and muttered. “I am honestly somewhat unsure. However, they should at least be Level 150 or so, right? Only after Level 100 can someone traverse space without dying. Of course, the speed is extremely slow, and usually, it’s not worth it. Do you know how large distances in space are? Even with the lifespan of Sylvans, it is difficult to cover anything at just Level 100.”
While they planned and discussed, time passed without news from Kaelis.
This made them somewhat doubtful.
“She might not want to be discovered.”
“Right. If she wants to be stealthy so as not to leave any traces behind, taking this long shouldn’t be something unusual.”
A month later, they started becoming nervous. “Hey. Even if she wants to take her time, a whole month is a bit long, right?”
Another commented. “Not so much. After all, isn’t the Wild Continent quite far away? She might’ve found something odd with the continent. Moreover, she has some teleporting treasures. It should be impossible to hold her back if she wants to escape.”
Half a year later, they all gathered again. They were still confused as to why Kaelis didn’t even send news back once.

“Impossible. She is a <Fourth Energy Cycle>. A decently powerful one at that. Moreover, she is a long-range fighter, and her ability to flee is top-notch. Only the major World Trees would have a chance to impede her escape.” The person denying it added. “The news about Eryndis is about to leave the world. We should focus on stopping that for now. Whenever Kaelis returns, she will put us up to pace.”
After that, some chaos occurred within the Abyssal Void Nexus as a few important people were ambushed within their domain and killed. Eventually, a whole year had gone by since Kaelis left.
That day, the world shifted as Ternary Essence sources around the world began trembling. Everyone in the entire world felt the presence of a new overlord permeating the entire land that day.
The source of the surreal power spreading all around came from, most surprisingly, the Wild Continent.

It's too fast. Breaking through Energy Cycles takes time, after all. Especially so for World Trees. So, people can't link it. Is like, imagine that you receive news that your sister is pregnant, and in two weeks, someone tells you that you have a niece. You wouldn't link it to your sister having that child, right?

What u mean surprising??? Every major power shuld know what happend and with the amount of dead, it shuld have spread by now And everyone shuld also know that liu shu is the only world tree close to rank up and jsut got a buffet of exp send her way

With other worlds revealed, I would like Liu Shu to display knowledge from books and connect the chain: skill caravan -> other worlds -> interworld trade. Right now her continent likely doesn't have anything valuable to trade, so Liu Shu should start setting up areas to cultivate resources. Killing life trees and world trees for resources would be too much, but she could set up remote mines under her direct control and influence their energy or orchads which she would blast with growing skill at all times for decades, etc. Maybe even get low-rank skills in that direction. Her conquering the world and getting opportunity to trade is likely several decades away, so it's enough time to create pipeline of natural treasure creation. I think now (or at least after assimilating Warlya) is a logical time for that, since Liu Shu should be thinking about future plans and goals after conquering the continent.
