I'm guessing it's gonna go down the route of "real mom was dead/divorced from his nobleman dad since he was a little kid and he developed a complex around women. The maid being the absolute unit she is, he didn't know how to express his feelings/interest so he picked on her just like kids do. Now that she's put him through "that experience" he's short circuiting and blurting out how he really feels about /wants from her.
