I think after he breaks he'll have a meltdown seeing himself as insignificant and that's when she'll support him she's been very careful so far not to hurt him

I think she’s trying to show him how lucky he is that she has more self control than he thinks. That’s how some bullying victims react to their bullies. I am one of those bullying victims. It’s all fun and games to the bully until we victims decide to show them their place
