Plans for Feb 1-6
🕑 Added 2026-01-30 22:08:07 +0000 UTCI did it! I finally finished Healer Arc 2 Book 1 (Enthralled Healer)! I'll be releasing some chapters for my $2/$5 Patrons starting on Sunday, and I'll continue to release them leading up to its publication on amazon toward the end of February.
Next week, there will be no new chapters, as I'll be editing, making revisions for story improvements (for instance, did you know that--as it is written--there is an insta-kill combination of spells and advancements that I accidentally created? If you know what it is, comment below), finalizing it for my beta-readers, creating the blurb, and finally putting it up for pre-order on amazon. After that, I'll probably take a couple of days off, getting back to work on Monday, February 9th.
Plans for next week:
Sunday-Wednesday: Editing, revisions, beta-readers, blurb, put up pre-order
Thursday-Friday: Off
As for what I'll be writing next, well, I had originally planned on doing the next Retrogression Keeper book (Book 3), but with the success of The Affinity Collector and everyone looking forward to the 2nd book, I'm not sure what I should do.
So, I'm going to leave it up to my Patrons. Which one would you like to see me write next? (I know that some might want Healer Arc 2 Book 2 next, but I need to get back to my other series first)

I think there are way too many spells in the Healer… you should probably introduce a way for Thaden to combine spells by giving out slots. You could say that’s one of the secrets of how the powerful becomes more powerful but hardly anyone can so it due to lack of slots

I will think about it! I mainly didn't want to do it because it would end up adding more spells, which wouldn't be able to be used until next book. That being said, I can see where you are coming from and I might end up expanding the last chapter a little, perhaps reconnecting with Sadia

I voted for affinity collecter 2 cuz i really want to read book 2 of that, however if you are attempting to keep time between book releases consistent I think Retrogression keeper 3 would be due to be the next book :) And honestly either way ill be happy and read it, lol.

I have to admit I was a bit disappointed by the ending of Healer. Putting aside the deus ex machina way the fight wrapped up, what really threw me was how quickly the story stopped after the climax. It felt like we never got the release after the peak: barely any PICK gained, no PICK allocation, no class choices, and not even a proper chat with Sadia about what just happened. Because of that, the ending felt incomplete rather than intentionally open, especially knowing it could be months before the next installment. I was honestly expecting at least a bit of decompression after such a big moment. Personally, I’d really recommend adding the PICK allocation and a short conversation with Sadia reflecting on the fight before ending the book. As it stands, it left me with the feeling that the story just stopped mid-breath, which was frustrating.

I would say that affinity collector should be next, then both books would be at the series three stage. I know it wouldn’t make a lot of difference, but it makes my insanity happy, all neat and ordered. But also, you seemed to have a blast writing Affinity collector, so i would maybe vote to write affinity collector as the next after keeper. So: af2, kp3, af3, healer 2.
