I think a day or two, so instead of approaching it like this (painting the entire gradient with stipple glazing), maybe sketch the layer first and then use it over the transitions

that was so smooth, how long did it take to complete the hightlights with the glaze stippling, I need to try the technique on a miniture at last once. Thanks for sharing
