Sure! The basecoat didn't have to be thinned, but it has to be spread, maybe just a drop of water. Further layers are thinned, but not too much as well, otherwise you can't paint fast and after all, this was a speedpainted piece (2-3 hrs). Personally not using contrast paints, but if you are after speed and combine it with some underpainting, I think it can work well :)

Thanks for sharing! Can I ask a couple questions please? How much thinner is the second layer to the base coat on the Cape? Is the base coat thinned at all? Do you ever use contrast paints for capes? I haven't bought any but that would be my major use of them I think. I wonder what you think of their usage for that. Many thanks!!
