Update about your names in videos

Since NerdSync is now partnered with Standard and Nebula, they are providing me with all future brand deals and sponsors for my new videos. Part of their practice is that all ad reads go at the very end of the video. That's typically where I read Patreon names, and I don't think having back-to-back sponsor to patreon plugs would help my videos with retention. It would be about 4 full minutes at the end of videos, which would likely make people abandon early. So, I might have to rework or even cut Patreon plugs on videos that are sponsored.
My initial thought is that I could try to have at least one video every other month that isn't sponsored, which would leave me the room at the end of those videos to shoutout all you patreon supporters. For example, any videos that are more personal in nature might feel like a better place to plug Patreon instead of some random sponsor.
These are just some initial thoughts, though. I'd love to know what you think. Nothing is final just yet. Let me know your thoughts int he comments or message me privately if you feel more comfortable doing that.

I'm a patron of other YouTubers who are also on Nebula, and they run their ad read right before the closing supporters flyby thing. I don't think it's a big deal, if that helps. And I hadn't a chance to say anything yet (hah. say. I'm typing it all!) but congratulations on getting onto Nebula. You're in the big leagues now. ^_^

Like the others have said, you do what you gotta do and those of us who are here, are here to support you with however you have to do this. I'm sure there are those who like to see their name there, but I personally just care about helping you to keep doing what you're doing.
