While doomscrolling, I found a very weird map with the continents moved around. In the center, there was one massive continent labeled “Atlantis.” It opened the flood gates to conspiracy theories dating back to the late 1800s and still persistent today.
Atlantis was always fictional. Yet it somehow became the center of a religion. The heart of conspiracy theories today. And even the motivation behind an occult Nazi hunt, right before the onset of WWII.
