The horrors persist, but so do I…
🕑 Added 2024-02-15 16:39:04 +0000 UTCI turned on a book to my editor last night—squeaking under my deadline by 1hr and 3min. A win is a win!
So what have I traded off to get ‘er done: sleep, sanity, seeing friends, being outside, exercise, meditation, grocery shopping, kdrama binging.
Folks, we cannot have it all. lol.
So now I look at my house and think wtf has been happening here…and my partner and children all blink…like idk we just live like savages because you weren’t paying attention.
What is one job/task you do that makes you feel accomplished or settled? Because I need some more life wins on my board. I’m starting with clean underwear. Look, I have not been wearing dirty underwear, but I’m generally in a “oh, shit I have one pair” emergency. I want the simple human pleasure of having weeks of clean underwear staged and ready to go.
Looking for more small luxuries like this to combat my current overwhelm.

Having ice cubes. I refill the tray before it fully empties, and then my beverages can always be perfectly cold. Plus, my ice cubes are penguins shaped. So there's so extra joy
