🕑 Added 2023-03-22 18:13:23 +0000 UTCSo. Sometimes it’s easy for me to forget when podcasting that other people I’ve never met will listen. And then I’ll be reminded of an overshare and be like …oh, right, I did that lol.
This week it was my finger fetish. I know I get shit for the toe socks and Ahn Oh-joo but the finger issue is real. It’s also not how I’d introduce myself at a party. “Hello, I’m Lia. I work in higher Ed, am involved in publishing and have a thing for people’s hands…in particular the fingers.”
It’s just not really done. And yet here we are.
So help me feel less alone. What’s some random thing about yourself that you wouldn’t really think to share with strangers. And let’s keep it…mmmm…PG-15 ish. We don’t need to know the darkest parts of your closest. Lol.
But the fact you have a phobia about snails. Or a dream to learn tap dance. Or a foot fetish? All acceptable.

I’m sorry that you are dealing with health issues. It sounds like you are going through a lot, and I hope you have a strong support network to help you through it. On a lighter note, my midlife crisis is manifesting itself with me spending way too much money on skin creams. If you do decide to travel the world, you might consider writing a memoir about it. I bet it would be a fantastic. 😊

My vulnerable share: I'm 100% at the mid life crisis point in my life and I very often contemplate making huge changes in my life out of worry that I won't be around to do all the things I want to do (life span considerations when you're living with a brain tumor are real). I genuinely think a ton about selling all my shit, taking a long sabbatical from work, and traveling.
