--------------------------------------
The forest is a labyrinth of shadows, the air thick with the hum of mana and the rustle of leaves. The First-Class Mage Exam has driven Übel and Land into a secluded grove, where they’ve paused to strategize—or so Land thinks. Übel, her purple eyes gleaming with a dangerous mix of mischief and curiosity, steps closer to him, her movements deliberate, like a predator circling prey. The moonlight catches her dark hair, and she tilts her head, a sly smile playing on her lips.
Übel: (voice low, almost a whisper) You’re too good at this, Land. The way you handle everything out here… it’s almost unfair. Makes a girl wonder what else you’re hiding.
Land: (glancing at her, his glasses catching the faint light) I’m just doing my part, Übel. You’re the one who keeps… staring. Something on your mind?
Übel: (closing the distance, her fingers lightly trailing along his sleeve) Oh, plenty. Like how you’re so calm, so in control. It’s driving me wild. (leans in, her breath warm against his neck) But it’s got me suspicious, you know. Nobody’s that composed unless they’re holding back something… big.
Land: (his voice steady, but a slight hitch betrays him) Suspicious? You’re reading too much into it. Or maybe you’re just trying to distract me.
Übel: (pressing closer, her lips hovering near his ear) Distract you? Oh, Land, I’m way past that. I want to know what makes you tick. (her hand rests lightly on his chest, her touch teasing) All this power you’re throwing around… it’s almost too much. Makes me think you’re more than you let on. Care to prove me wrong?
Land: (his eyes narrow, but a faint smirk tugs at his lips) You’re playing a dangerous game, Übel. Keep pushing, and you might find out more than you bargained for.
Übel: (grinning, her voice a sultry challenge) I’m counting on it. Show me, Land. Or are you afraid I’ll like it too much?
The air between them is electric, the forest’s silence amplifying the unspoken tension. Übel’s eyes lock onto his, her suspicions about his overwhelming presence fueling her bold seduction, while Land’s restraint wavers, caught in her web. The exam’s stakes fade for a moment, lost in the heat of their exchange.
