Couldn't one define cold as being the parts of a system in which heat energy is being transferred to while warm/hot as the parts that heat energy is transferred from? Or something like that?

I was taught in Catholic School that Atheists only believe in what they can see. The teachers would make jokes about how Atheists should stop trying to breath air since they couldn't see air.
