The helipad performance is iconic because of the amount of people that tuned in to watch SNSD's performance on LIVE TV, 8.6 MILLION. The highest viewed broadcast with a 17.2% rating, "an all-time viewership record as the most-watched performance in Korean television history". There were also no drones yet, so they had to film the girls' using helicopters. This is an example of why SNSD held the Nation's Girl Group title for everyone knew and loved them. To help compare the rating, music shows nowadays, and the past few years have been less than 1% in Korea.
