Hey, thanks for sending in this question! This was actually a great way to officially introduce Kohl without taking up an entire official episode. Many people were confused about where he came from.
Kohl: I came out here for a walnut and I'm feeling so betrayed right now.

Yes. Brazilian Portuguese. kkkk
Chekhov
Let me guess - Brazilian Portuguese? Crows and Ravens are both Corvidae, but different species. Ravens are a bit bigger, with a larger beak. You can search 'crow vs raven' on google and it has some fun visuals. :)

What is the difference between crow and raven? The language barrier translates them as the same word...

every evil queen needs her raven! HA HA!

Ravens are indeed jerks. They are smart enough to derive entertainment from human annoyance at their antics.

…I just had a vision of Steven resurrecting Kohl the same way Rose resurrected Lion. I hope it doesn’t happen, but it sure would be interesting if it did. (I’m sure Steven would cope super well with knowing that he has power over life and death.)
Chekhov
There was actually an episode all the way back in the first season that mentioned the same thing. :) and Lion doesn't really care about Steven, and much prefers the company of Rose or Earl. He's not quite the Disney princess that canon Steven was!

Since when do animals not like Steven? What about Lion? Or that snake that he protected from the rain when he was younger?

All hail Kohl, the Prince of all Ravens!

An animal that isn't a feline or living plant. How will Crystal Gem Pearl react to it? I mean Rose has a Lion and yet she never question her about it
