NEW* COMIC: Gonkey!

So in the meantime, I'd like to tell you about another project I had going behind the scenes - a little Slice of Life incidental comic about myself and my partner!
As many of you know, I'm Russian, and he's Japanese. We currently live in Japan, and recently even bought a house!
He's been telling me for a long time to draw comics about us, and I've mostly been too busy. But I've tried to get a few of them started because, well, it seems fun! And I enjoy drawing little animals.
You guys, as my Patrons, should get the first look before I got full on public with it:
To make it clear - this isn't really a project in the same way the WDAU is. It's more of a little side-gig that I want to try to keep up with for small stories about us. It won't have any plot, because we're real people living real lives, and it's not really something I can plan.
It will, however, consist of short, one-page comics like the following:

Haha yeah he is a seahorse! It's kinda a joke about a dragon being a mythical creature but a seahorse being real. It's also a fruits basket reference lol

Ahhh thanks! :) it's definitely part of the reason I wanted to make this. Also, the animals are just from the Chinese zodiac! I suppose I should explain it at some point. But it's literally just the fact that I'm a monkey and he's a dragon! 👍

This is so cute and exciting! I just checked out some of the previous comics on tumblr and I can’t believe (well, totally can unfortunately) that your house journey was so difficult! But I’m glad that things worked out in the end. This is so awesome, thank you for sharing your and your partner’s experiences with us this way!

Aah, this looks like it’s going to be so fun to read! Your artstyle fits these short comics — "4-koma" style so well, and the main focus is so interesting too! It’s also such an adorable way of documenting your life together for you to look back on when you’re older. I’ll be diligently reading it! Wishing you two the best! PS: will there be an explanation as to why you’ve chosen these specific animals to represent you? just out of curiosity. ^-^
