Damn, that was stressful to read. This scene is a lot more intense than the original series. You did an excellent job of making me want to crawl into a hole. 10/10 plus the art work is amazing as usual.

Considering how often this comic has been willing to let situations that resolved cleanly/happily go much worse/messier than the source material, I'm genuinely on the edge of my seat that this version of the Maheswarans are *not* going to accept Steven, considering 1) the fundamentally different nature of the lie they went with (OG Steven was as honest as *Connie's* lie allowed in that he *did* bring his guardians, whereas this is completely Steven's fabrication), and 2) the lack of anyone actually situated/suited to pull authority/discipline on Steven (which won the Maheswarans over the first time).
