Yep Nick. YG has a contract with HYBE it was made a while ago, HYBE has distribution rights and promotion rights for some YG artists on Weverse- which is why YG artists are on there, and YG is helping with distribution for some HYBE artists as well as the ADOR label which both HYBE and YG are benefiting from. I was just correcting this person who mistook it as YG distributing for all HYBE artists and not HYBE doing that for YG- and YG not having anything at all to do with NewJeans, but in fact YG does as ADOR is a joint label like Belift is a joint label under HYBE between HYBE and CJEnt. That's all lol. I suck at wording things sometimes, so I'm sure the person mistook something I said in my comment- but instead of them responding to my comment they made this one. lol. You know how it goes. 💜

Yay. I can't wait. Just know you should probably know ahead of time that they debuted as a 6 member group, but are currently and going forwards- a 5 member group.

This is so different, and just so refreshing. I think in a few years we’ll look back and see this as the start of the 5th Gen. This is such a new take on a kpop gg, I think it will become the trend. Just like 4th Gen has been dominated by girl groups inspired by BP, and boy groups inspired by BTS & EXO, I think (& hope), that we’ll get other girl groups inspired by New Jeans in the coming years.

Another new hybe gg that I have my eye on is le sserafim they debuted 2 m ago, their debut track is “fearless” but personally I prefer “Blue flame” it has no MV but pls react to the performance, they have 2 ex iz*one members (iz*one was a 12 member temporary group put together through the survival show, produce 48 by mnet it was group composed of japanese & Korean girls cause mnet was in partnership w akb48, I believe their contract was only for 2.5y, should check out their choreos they r really in synch)

I just going to responde to this one more time. If you look at any Hybe artist album they are all distributed by YG Plus justblike how YG Plus distributes YG artist album. Don't belive me look at any recent albums from hybe. And that's it.

Uh.... HYBE has Distribution and Market of some YG artists... you know, cause HYBE owns Weverse... and VLive, and SOME YG idols are on Weverse... which also has a shop.. where merch is sold.. HYBE bought a good chunk of stock in YG and now has a seat at shareholder meetings. YG has it's own distribution rout and so far(they should be doing distribution for some... SOME other artists in the near future) is only handling ADOR Label artists.. again, so far. We should see them on other HYBE artists soon though. The deal you're speaking about was primarily about HYBE having distribution rights to some YG groups, the other things included though... as we are starting to see, is YG also having a hand in the ADOR label. Its like CJEnt. being partnered for BeLift Labs Label- which is Enhypen's label.

YG doesn't have control of NewJeans but they are handling the distribution and were involved with the screening/audition process. They will be involved in certain promotional aspects as well. It's not going to be like.. NewJeans appearing on their channel on Youtube, it's all minor stuff. You can even look up which companies are associated with NewJeans and it's HYBE and YG. It's okay you didn't know this, and again- YG doesn't have a say over them, and their MV's won't be on any YG channels, but they are involved... think of it like a silent partnership.

YG has nothing to do with New Jeans and Ador. The deal that Hybe has with YGE is with their subsidiary YG Plus which is their distribution arm.

The day the MVs dropped only the intro version was public, all the member versions were unlisted and everyone had to watch the intro to access the member versions. There are four versions, on one of them the two members are together, the choreo doesn’t change but the storyline is focused on the particular member.

I love.. or.. ADOR this group... okay, bad jokes aside- This group hasn't even officially debuted yet and they're already reaching out and gaining new fans daily. So some background- These girls were put together by HYBE and YG, this is their joint project that was agreed upon when they made whatever deals with each other, we're now seeing that- That said, these girls were not trained by YG, thank gods for that... HYBE, or rather their label under Hybe- ADOR, who is led by Min Hee-Jin, who used to work for SM but that HYBE deal was a lot better for her and she has a much bigger job now, technically two jobs at HYBE, she's still the branding art director (she used to make the logos and shit for groups like F(x) and all those SM Idols too) but she's also now the head of the ADOR Label. ADOR is an acronym like ARMY. ADOR stands for All Doors One Room. This label was only founded last year. NewJeans is their first group. And we learned last year that they would be coming out with 'teasers' for this group... so to our surprise a lot of these teasers are just straight up MV's lol. NewJeans is 5 girls- Hanni, who is 17. Born in Vietnam(she is Vietnamese), but raised in Australia. Minji who is also 17, she's full Korean Danielle who is 17 as well, She's Korean Australian, born in Australia. Haerin who is 16, full Korean. And Hyein who is 14, and also full Korean. Hyein was actually part of another girl group under 'Kids Planet' the group was called USSO.GIRL I believe they are set to Debut on August 1st. I might be wrong. And I don't think there's official positions yet but these girls are good. One of the good things is- Some, if not all of these songs that have been released by them so far, at least one member of the group has taken part in writing. Because ADOR is primarily a HYBE label, these girls are being taught to write and produce. So there's no chance of Teddy getting his grubby EDM obsessed hands on them.... sorry, it had to be said. Anyway. love that you guys love them so far, and I can't wait to see their debut stage.💜

I'm impressed with this group. They seem pretty different compared to other kpop GG's. Very refreshing as you all said. From the music, to the fits, to the mv. It seems like the type of mv and music we'd expect to see over here in the US, on TRL.....if it still existed lol. No jazzercising type choreo, Minnie mouse on helium voice....more natural. I like this song more than Attention too. I'm really curious to see what else they've got.

This is my first time hearing this group and i already love themmmm and it's hard for me to get into a lot of girl groups because besides twice Im not the biggest fan of the overly cutesy concept if the group members are adults so thank you for exposing me to a great group in the making <3
