I think the first kpop/western collab I saw was Niliria by GDragon & Missy Elliott in 2013. And it was fully a collab, not just a verse in the middle of a song, like a lot of these newer ones are. And Will.I.Am did a song with 2NE1 as well sometime around then. And you guys mentioned Ed Sheeran: besides his BTS collabs , he actually just released a version of his song Shivers with Jessi and Sunmi a couple weeks ago.

The live US performance of this song was such a disappointment. How do you(FM) forget your lines, MX were ready to swing on this dude,I swear you got a watch the video of it ,it's funny but also as a fan I got so pissed off. MX did 4 takes in the hot ass sun and the best take that Jimmy Kimmel's showed was still bad.
