and this was just the last part of the MAMA performance the guys had by 2019...was just historical, epic, I don't have enough words to describe it...still feel shivers in my body when see the dance practice and watched the whole 37 minutes performance on the MAMA 2019...simply unforgetable!

Btw, Bookish Theories has a great video explaining “Dionysus” that Curtis would love watching, because he’s right. It’s oceans deep. Here’s a summary: Dionysus is the Greek god of wine and fertility, but also the god of ritual madness, religious ecstasy, theater, … and epiphany. Dionysus means twice-born, because Zeus saved him from being killed. He was a very popular god, with a cult following, but interestingly, several sources state that he was not originally a Greek god, but an Asian god that was later assimilated to Western culture; he was also later portrayed as an androgynous figure (embodying the masculine and the feminine). He was considered a god of all, for all. His worshippers got closer to their god – and to the ultimate purpose of enlightenment and liberation – by intoxicating themselves, and they did so through wine, music, and intercourse. In the lyrics, BTS declare: "Art is alcohol too, if you drink it, you’ll get drunk like a fool.” Art is like alcohol because it frees you and allows you to express your true self; through art you can experience epiphany and connect with something bigger than yourself. It’s a subversive power: through music, and the madness and ecstasy linked to the artistic process, they free themselves and others from the constrictions of society. Freedom leads to rebirth. Like Dionysus, BTS are born twice: once as idols and once as artists. Art freed them and empowered them.

hard to pick a favorite but i always go back to watch the concept trailer dance practice (i like it better than the actual performance) https://youtu.be/m7QNUWXoO_s and the SBS performance practice https://youtu.be/j2rS6vXApF0 . the only exception with the latter is that their performance director son sungdeuk had to stand in for an ill yoongi. it’s great to see him dance with the group, just unfortunate that suga was not well and absent from the practice. the former routine, when done live for the 1st time (at least i think it was), there was a secret outfit reveal where the back up dancers rip the outer shirt off the members, revealing a white cut off sleeveless sweatshirt, but in their zeal, jimin and namjoon’s shirts were torn, to the point joon was topless, poor thing.

Loved the reaction. I'm glad you guys did watched the dance practice first because even though I love the MMA 2019 performance, you can definitely see everything going on since there are no sets, lights, outfits distracting you from the dance. Dionysus is a Greek mythology-inspired track if you check the lyrics, so you can see the inspiration in the choreography too, and the MMA 2019 performance. Sienna Lalau again did the choreography. Also about the outfits comment from Lo, they usually wear those kind of outfits on a daily basis, when they are not performing, and you can definitely see each of their own casual style in the dance practices :)

I'd be happy if they did MMA 2019 and that was all they did for the week BTS-wise (f they have limited time). BTS ARMY are fine with long videos- there's one dude out there who reacted to all the BTS MVS in order and it took over 5 hours haha

You should react to the actual live performance or better yet the entire 40 mins BTS MMA 2019, I think after watching it, you’ll be out of breathe. Imagine them singing to this??? While dancing those crazy Coreo??! This Dionysus perf actually a remix of both Dionysus and N.O songs, so you should check them out.
