Carter Parks

...Well, here's hoping we get a new version out before the 22nd of July...(my birthday)

Jamie C.

@Carter Parks, and @Frank. couldn't agree more with you guys on this her blue lipstick made her legendary just as the style malise has makes her completely unique. Idk but I may be wrong but I think Neon is the only protagonist i have seen that doesn't use the standard red or pink lipstick like in most other games. But a blue, just makes her stand out more plus the hair love that.

Jamie C.

:) nice thanks for clearing that up was confused on that. I hope later on in the future we hear more of these other systems as combat and the way you have done this provide an interesting take and I love the fact I can be tactical in it. thanks again for the feed back Ero.

@MangoFishSocks Clock would be updated the same way as the ATB gauges, so if Input speed is set to below 100%, the clock slows down or stops just as ATB gauges do. Since ATB speed is dependent partially on character's Agility stat, and player characters don't have to act immediately after their ATB is charged, it's pretty much impossible to use any character's action count for turns. For that reason, our implementation of "turn", which is integral part of battle in RPGMaker editor, is time-based almost since its inception.

Great I'm glad you guys plan to have game modes like that as well as other games modes, that stuff really helps with replay value and longevity and in a H game that type of stuff would be really fun, I'm looking forward to it!

MangoFishSocks

A smart compromise, I'd say. The weapons haven't been visible in H-scenes so far and the non-H-scene portraits are really just appetizers to assist in and get to the meat of the game.

MangoFishSocks

For the Survival game mode, may I suggest you stick to a number of turns instead of a clock? If someone sets the Input timer to 0, then he/she can just sit on his/her turn and let the clock run down. It'd also work with real time settings (no timer settings to 0) as if someone just sits there doing nothing, they'll get harassed continuously by enemies.

Dunno yet, but will know more once I start focusing on that :D.

Specific weapons won't appear differently as it'd take way too much disk space with pre-rendered graphics. We were planning for a long time to have multiple weapon types per character, but now that the playable character roster is increasing we're thinking of some other systems that may be a more interesting way to bring out the individual characters' personality/style in battle. The reasoning behind this though is that we'd rather devote more disk space to things related to H-content than to stuff like different weapon types.

That's pretty much where the battle test releases are headed, but we need to get to at least BT4 before we have the h-scenes and the remaining combat systems working in the revamped style.

We're planning a few concepts like that. One is "battle modes" with objectives indicated at the top of the screen. One may be "Extermination" for instance, where you need to kill some number of enemies (20, 30, etc.), and they keep respawning at certain intervals. Another might be "Survival" where you have to keep dat HP above 0 against increasingly bad odds while a clock runs down. We plan to use these to add some interest to story and side mission battles. We're also looking at an arena-style set of mini-games later on.

Yes, Neon just didn't feel the same without her signature blue lipstick...(And glad that we're almost at the end of this conversion nightmare.)

Best news for me: blue lipstick is back :D

It'd keep us all very happy over the long term to even just play a continual corridor that is just fighting with H-Scenes and combat systems enabled. It'll allow us to get a feel for your work that we are contributing to. Just save, fight, skill spam...

Hi so, these battle tests have given me a idea are you guys familiar with devil may cry 4's bloody palace game mode? Where you essentially play through 101 stages and it's just waves of enemies and every 10-20 stages theirs a boss you fight in between waves of enemies, well I think something like that would be AMAZING for this game as maybe a unlockable game mode or something for let's say maybe beating a challenging optional boss? Or you just get it when you beat the game, idk I don't want to "tell" you guys how to implement something in YOUR game, just a idea that I think would be awesome, game looks great I can't wait for the next battle test and the next major release <3

Words can't express how hyped I am. But even if this turns out like ME: Andromeda (the biggest game example of failed hype ever?), I won't die or blame the team... I'll just cry. A lot.

:D Neon and Malise look astounding, to be honest I didnt like malise as much as Neon but with this new update Malise is becoming my other fave. From what you have shown I am glad to stay for this and super excited. My question when getting weapons for either malise or neon are the choices in getting better weapons like v.05 will the graphic change for them for example will neon get a different looking rifle or malise a new pistol or will they remain the default you have already finished.?

I get the feeling at this point that notes are probably taken over the course of the month and then condensed and organized to give us these walls of text. Or maybe just thrown our way, either way it is still an appreciated effort :D Lot more then other content creators will let us know about for sure.

Justa Badge

I'm so hyped.

Mister Glitch

Blown away by all the effort being put into this. I really appreciate the time you take in writing these updates too, which in itself is no small task. Definitely sticking with pledging.

The liquid looks very realistic. The alleyway gives me a heavy Arkham feeling, which is a positive, certainly. Very believable and gritty, and certainly no place 2 pretty ladies showing some skin should be strolling around in. If the weapon cases are any example of detailed, close-up props, then that's a great sign. Question. Will the H-skill chain in BT4 include multi-teaming? Either way, the Moving Ahead section looks very promising.

I mean ... Neon's blue lipstick is back so i can't be more satisfied :D Also there will be H-Content for both characters in battle test release 4? NICE! Can't wait, i hope you guys show us Onyx's face (and bottom) next month ^^ Been eager to see it since last month when i saw her hot crop-top.
