SIDEQUEST Issue 25 Preview

Greetings gamers and welcome to the preview for issue 25 of SIDEQUEST magazine. This is our debut Pathfinder2e issue, and from this issue going forward we will be including PF2 mechanical content alongside 5e mechanics where it makes sense to do so.
There will be some instances where it only makes sense to make content for one of the systems (either because similar content already exists for the other system, or because its a content type not supported by the other system) but as much as possible we will be presenting mechanics for both systems alongside one another.
Issue 25 contains:
- The World of Istar: An introduction to the world of Istar, which is the Icarus Games setting. We've been sharing things from areas of this setting, including Ashk and the Jewel Cities, for the last few years, but there's going to be a LOT more Istar specific content coming so we thought a quick refresher primer was in order!
- The Shards of Istar: One of the defining features of the world of Istar is that magic came to the world when the dragon-god Istar was killed and their body crashed into the world. As their bones fossilized, they became the magical substance known as sunat stone which first introduced magic to the mortals of the world. The Shards of Istar are weapons made from pure pieces of the corpse of the dragon-god Istar, and in this first of a new series, we introduce the concept of the shards and give you the first stats for one of them.
- Vathek, Twice Cursed: Vathek is one of our Iconics, characters who appear across multiple artworks. He is a tiefling reaver fighter and has appeared in several pieces of cover art through the years. Folks have been asking for more information on our iconic characters, so this is the first in a new ongoing series that will introduce each of the 12 iconics and provide stats for them as NPCs in your games.
- The Vinemaw: Back in February, we hosted a monster munch for our writers and a bunch of other industry professionals to help people get used to writing for Pathfinder2e mechanics, and as part of that, we commissioned a piece of artwork from long-time contributing artist, Mattias, for folks to use as inspiration for their designs. Well, we're finally publishing our statblock for that monster, the Vinemaw!

How do I get SIDEQUEST?
SIDEQUEST issue 25 will be available to patrons at the $5 tier and above throughout the next month. After that it will be available to $10 patrons as well as on DrivethruRPG as a single issue.
How Often Will Issues Be Released
SIDEQUEST is released monthly.
Will the PDF be Bookmarked?
Yes! Every issue has embeded bookmarks on each article to make navigation easier. There is a contents page that is linked to each article, a sidebar for quick navigation, and all the page numbers take you back to the contents page, making navigation on any device a breeze!
Can I get physical copies of the magazine?
Producing physical copies of the 'zine at this scale isn't financially viable, so instead we bundle a year's worth of issues into annuals which we fund via kickstarter. We expect the year 2 annual to start shipping out in Q4 2023.
I missed the previous issues, can I still get them?
