Since you wanted to know Darius, as unspoiler-y as possible. As long as the Devil is alive, if someone eats a part of that Devil he gets stronger. So in the case of the Gun Devil, if he would die so does the power others get from his pieces. And it's pretty much specifically Gun Devil, with "attracting the pieces" And the Cinematic shots are pretty much exclusive to the Anime, the Manga for example didn't show the Bathroom vent or at the end of the Episodes when they go up the stairs Arai immediatly notices the Floor number still being 8, instead going pov and then seeing the blood and going back to check etc. The Manga is more straight to the point and focuses more on the Character when it comes to stuff like that.
