hmm.. At the moment I was thinking of simply several observation camera's. For monitoring, the subject must be attached to several peripherals. But that a probability it could be more than a shower pod - it could be a liquid stasis pod as well.

Any built in monitoring? It would be an opportunity for collecting baseline data, while the subject is in a relaxed, unaware state.
