Hi there! Once you cleaned the piece in order to access the more recent coat of varnish, then removed that varnish, then cleaned it again as it had been varnished over a dirty surface, then removed the bad retouching, then the dirt and grime beneath that… I was left expecting you to then remove an “original” coat of varnish that would have been put on by the artist and was finally exposed, but that wasn’t mentioned. Did it come off with the other treatments?
