Ah - wonderful idea. I'm amused about this; "Trekker is a german word for pulling." I'm german and Trecker is a slang word for Traktor and that is a designation, that we german get from the english tractor. That's funny, I think!
Absolutely fascinating (I have one painting with a substantial tear ...) My question: For a jagged tear with a 90 degree change in the tear direction, would you need a more complex system of kevlar pulleys on a 360 degree arc to put pressure on the canvas from more that a single direction? Apologies if this throws you into designing and build ing a new machine with an arc in it.
