Understanding the why behind past work on a 400 year old wood panel can be critical in deciding what to do about it said old work and how to move forward. Though it may seem straight forward and simple, looks can be deceiving and the project can in fact be a heady proposition.

In the video you mentioned saving the original cradle wood, but then it simply disappeared. What happened to it? Has it been set aside in case you need 100 year old wood for something? I honestly thought you would use the original wood to re-fabricate the cradle. I would love to know your thought process behind these decisions.
