loved the finish project. I totally agree with the concept.
I had this story I had told myself about "The Contrarian" painting... how it was a painting that many family and friends had gathered around over the years... it's damaged face being part of so many memories as a silent witness to those lived experiences. This sentimentality is ultimately what I thought had led the client to not request a full restoration. I'm glad to know the real back story, but I will always hang on to my more romantic one :)
