Yes it is playable, and yes it has a few attractive and exciting new features and improvements, but no it isn't the major "poses" update that I (and I assume you) were hoping it would be. Because of this, some elements of gameplay are still in limbo and this update, like the previous one, should be viewed as a sneak preview of what's to come. That being said, unlike the last update that was utterly fucked, this update is only slightly fucked and so I welcome you to have a look at it, even if you aren't an obsessive Hyperdeep superfan.
During some downtime, I also had a go at designing a new logo for Hyperdeep, and I quite like how it turned out. Trying to hone in on an "image" for Hyperdeep has been something that's been at the back of mind all throughout development and something I would like to get squared away before the day on which I "professionalize" the game, i.e., I make a greater than zero effort to promote the game and pay attention to all the social aspects of developing a game again. That day is not today, but it is soonday.
Anyway, what's actually new this update?
HD-chan's Body
HD-chan is taller and leaner now. By leaner I mean less thicc. This may at first sound like a terrible fucking idea but fear not because you can still customize all this just the same as before. Having the "default" HD-chan be a more neutral shape (particularly in comparison to HD-Dude re: height) helps hugely when creating poses.
Also fun fact when you make a load of clothes for a character and then decide to change the shape of that character, you have to go back and fix ALL the clothes which is GREAT.
Boob Physics
HD-chan has two extra bones in each breast now, allowing both a greater degree of customizability and a more jiggly physics simulation. When more poses are added the benefits of this will be even more obvious and you shall see HD-chan's bosom reacting to gravity in a truly delightful manner.
Fun fact when you add extra bones to a character you have to go back and fix ALL the clothes AGAIN which is GREAT.
Boob Customization
Ooh there's a weird graph in the customization menu
Favorites
You can now mark character and outfit presets as favorites, meaning that the game will load them automatically on startup. This, in my humble opinion, owns.
Clothing Materials
This isn't a particularly visible change and likely won't have much bearing on you the reader, but the system by which clothing and accessory materials are setup has changed, allowing for single objects to have multiple distinct materials. You can see this in this build on the string bikini top, which when equipped will allow you to switch between a leopard print look with no color customization and a plain look with color customization.
Obviously the possibilities afforded by this system greatly exceed meagre demonstration. I figure that in the future when Hyperdeep's core gameplay is mostly solid I will spend a lot more time supporting the game by creating clothing and accessories and these features will come in incredibly useful then.
On the topic of creating clothing, I've redone a couple of the default items in the game. Almost all of the items built into the game were made far too quickly and lazily and now (I'm always improving) my skills are such that I can create much better models and textures. The new material system will give me more opportunity to add visually interesting texture variations to items while maintaining all the current customizability as well.
Action
The mysterious and highly confusing wizardry that past-me implemented for HD-chan's controls and general movement have been rejiggered yet again, and should feel smoother and less like the game is about to break. Press 3 on your keyboard to try out a new POV control scheme. Previous POV enjoyers will be pleasantly surprised at just how easily dick meets mouth this time around. I'd like to make a whole post dedicated to some of the innovations I've made in the camera and control systems at some point, perhaps as part of my new more social self that will at some point be materializing.
Also the new POV control scheme means you can jiggle HD-chan's boobs side-to-side which has previously been completely impossible.
Bugfixes
I fixed literally exactly one million bugs this update. See if you can find one of the two million new bugs I added.

Autosuck is broken. The option is there but it doesn't work. Neither pressing O or enabling it in the menu. Also theres been a bug since 0.3.7 that if you press U, HD-Chan turns into a dolls corpse and stands up. Resistance isn't working either.
