November 2024 Sticker Preview & Forecast
🕑 Added 2024-11-02 19:12:41 +0000 UTCOh, friends. At this point, it's probably overdone and way too late to whinge about where the year has gone, because holy crap we are coming up to the end of it?! I don't know about you, but I for one and ready for this year to end.
Speaking of ends, it's almost fitting I suppose that I'm bringing an end to this mini-series with this month's stickers: Terrific Travels! The generic version lol. If you'd like to get either the individual sticker OR the sticker sheet + postcard this month, please sign up or adjust your tier by 15th November!
And this is my not-so-sneaky way of also announcing that there is a brand new tier: Shiny Sticker Squad! This is a physical-reward ONLY tier, so there won't be any of the digital goods or Discord access, but I figure some people might want just the sticker and don't really care to hear from me otherwise (which I totally get lololol).
While that one may be a bit more of a happier (neutral?) announcement, I'm afraid that the rest of the forecast is gonna be a lot less so... If you'd like to skip it, here's a summary:

<Rambling Begins>
First off, I'm so sorry for not being as active for the month of October. There was a lot going on that eventually led to my having a really bad depressive episode (an Espresso Depresso™, as I like to call it). I'm not looking for an excuse for not getting things done, but transparency and honesty is something that I value, so I am just trying to practice what I preach. With that said, there are some things that I still will keep private, as I believe is my right to. Not everything has to be out in the open, but I will share what I believe is important with you all. 💖
I've been having an issue with my dominant hand from about the start of October. X-rays showed no bone damage and it's gotten a lot better, but gripping in certain angles still hurts a bit. So I've been trying hard not to overdo it and give myself plenty of time to rest. Also switched from my trackpad to using a mouse again helped a bit. I'm not completely out of the woods on this one yet, but it's been getting better which is good. I tell ya, this year seems to be the year of physical therapy for me, what with my ankle being busted since May and now this lol. These stupid human bodies, right? Anyway I'm going to keep taking it a bit easier, and even though I'm fairly certain it's not due to overwork (so I tell myself)...I'd rather not take any chances.
Aside from that, I actually have last-minute travel plans for a couple weeks from the middle of the month until the beginning of December. A family emergency has come up so I'm going to need to go back to Vancouver for a bit, and there's a chance that I might also need to stay there longer than a few weeks. Don't worry, I will make sure to have a plan in place for the physical rewards to make sure they get to you on time. I'll also still be doing art and such while I'm there, though obviously at a much lower capacity since I won't have all my materials and probably less time (oh and the hand thing I guess loooool).

No other way to say it -- it's a shitty situation. But I'm going to try to make the best of it, and know that I am making choices that align with my values at the end of the day. And while it obviously is a big hit to my budget in several ways (airline prices now are egregious, wtf?!), I'm heartened by the fact that I still have supports like you wonderful people. Seriously, without your help and support, this would potentially have been the point where I might have thrown in the towel on this art thing completely. But I'm still going to try, because I have people who believe in me even if I don't quite believe in myself yet.

I think we've talked about EDS and hypermobility before- swan neck finger splints can help with a lot of hand pain from hyperextended fingers. I like my Silver Ring Splint Company rings. Lmk if you have any questions. Take care of yourself! ❤️

Greys, I will always believe in you and will always support you. Not just in your art, but also in you caring for yourself. I mean that. If you don't care for yourself, then there's no wonderful greys arts for us to enjoy. I fully support taking a short term loss for long term benefits, rather than the other way around. ❤️
