Definitely interesting. One of my childhood friends works for a massively powerful tech company. He started in PR while he was in school and was promoted to what he calls "damage control" after earning his law degree... His input on this case is pretty astounding. Corporate damage control and espionage are real things; there are those who have more scruples and those who are just modern day mafia with enough money, power, lobbies, and scapegoats/patsies to get away with damn near anything. And like you said, it may not have been OpenAI who "pulled the trigger," but there are other parties with an interest in keeping his mouth shut, including our wonderful, dear leader, DJT and Project Goreallyfast. Either way, dark world we live in, eh? Edit: Hit enter to go to a new line and it submitted. Had to add the rest. Also, wanted to add, I don't really know my friend too well anymore; we have very different lives now, but see each other once or twice a year. So, I take what he says with a grain of salt. I do know he is very wealthy though lol.
