First, a new card has been added called Heartfelt Serenade. Last months new card, Coin Trick, is turning out to be really neat. This one, I'm not so sure about. Consider this a test of potential for this mechanic. Heartfelt Serenade is a lot like Bit Lip. It hurts you and it gives you money, but instead of the simple 2 coin payout of Bite Lip, it allows you to select a monster and receive the reward you would get for making it cum. This means that it can farm cards from monsters that offer card rewards, such as Gart'ner Snake and Milksnake. I imagine that it could have synergy with cards like Witches Kiss or Cursed Jewel, cards that reward you for Forgetting cards. I've made this card somewhat rare; it only appears in one of the 5 card sets that are randomly chosen when you enter the garden stage of the temple. If you encounter it, though, let me know what you think!
I also made some balance changes. Gart'ner Snake now offers an "extra coin next turn" as one of it's reward options instead of "+1 Maximum heat tolerance." This is to nullify "Surviving for an Obscene Number of Turns" as a strategy. It's cool to be able to get your max heat up to the hundreds on the first stage, but I don't want players to feel like the best strategy is the one that takes ages to play. I've also changed some of the card sets. Witches kiss has been reduced in cost by 1 and has been added to one of the garden stage card sets. I think it's an underutilized card and, (now that it's no longer crashy,) deserves more representation. I plan on making at least one or two more cards that work similarly to witches kiss. Card removal is cool, but I want it to feel like something that can be strategized around more carefully.
Another addition is a whole-ass new area in the tavern! Presently it's ugly as fuck, but next month I'll have it all textured up with pretty pixel art :D Currently, there's nothing to do in this new area except to check the bookshelf in Vartouhi and Rose's room. I've added a system that will let the player unlock lore books as they progress. The four doors on the ground level don't do anything yet, but the door on the upper level opens this new bookshelf menu. Currently, there's only one silly little book, but I'll add more at some point. The book UI itself is vastly more robust than the one in Hardcoded. It isn't apparent yet, but it's an example of my progress as a programmer. I'm going to be able to position picture and text with way more freedom than the lore docs scattered in Hardcoded.
There are some other changes, too! The exterior of the tavern has been prettied up! And the little clipboard menu has been replaced with a cuter one that shows some save data metrics. And there's some new dialogue! And some bug fixes! See below, and/or go find the changes in-game! Thank you all for your support and I hope you enjoy the build!

Bug Fixes:
Fixed a condition under which the game could be locked when the player is prompted to select a card for discard.
Generally improved the bugginess of the button used to skip or select card and monsters.
Fixed an issue where "next turn" monster rewards, such as "Gain an extra coin next turn" and "Forget a card next turn" were happening one turn later than expected.

just downloaded last night and i love the art and lore so far, but i dont really understand how the card game works. will there be a tutorial screen at any point?
