🕑 Added 2025-06-01 23:34:40 +0000 UTCHello everyone! It's update time! BUT FIRST A ANNOYING ANNOUNCEMENT: I had to change the name of the game. Someone else was using a name that was pretty much identical to mine. From Henceforth, the card game will be known as HELL QUEEN RECEIVE ME. Allcaps optional. OK, anyway. Here's what we've got this month.
First we have a new card, Coin Trick. This is a WIP card that I've added to try and help new players understand the value of removing cards from your deck. Coin trick is a Very Good money card that can also simply "Forget" itself when it's played. Pick it up early without worrying about the late-game deck bloat that usually comes with non-combat cards. Coin trick has been added to several card sets, but is not in any set that includes Borrowed Silver (so if you start a run and see borrowed silver on stage, you can be sure that you wont also see Coin Trick.)
Next we have the Framework for our Boss Animation system! Theres only two animations implemented right now, but I'm pretty sure the system itself is working. My goal is to make boss fights feel more special by having sex animations play when you deal damage. Sounds simple enough, but I want some of the animations to respond per heat tick! Which I think will feel really cool when it's nice and refined. Right now its rough, but you can still enjoy some hand-drawn cocksucking between Kat and the Dray Mare.
The last biggish change is I finally got Dialogue options working. They don't really do much right now, but I added a think where you can ask Vartouhi about Lore. My plan going foreward is to use dialogue options often when writing dialogue, but to find a better solution for asking about Lore. I plan on writing a lot of lore for this bitch game and im very hype about it. I'm thinking of doing a custom lore-dialogue menu that will list all unlocked lores in a scrollable list that you can ask Vartouhi about, kinda like in Morrowind? Or maybe leaving it out of Dialogue entirely and adding a lore journal that updates as you learn stuff?
Other changes include: Some ambient sounds, some fixes, a re-balance of Borrowed silver. I added the ability for cards to remove themselves! Which has allowed me to finally fix Mirror form, and to start thinking of more self-removing cards like Coin Trick.

Changed Cards:
Borrowed Silver - Buffed: now costs 4 instead of 3, and now discards when you have 3 unspent coins instead of 4.
Mirror Form - Fixed: Now forgets itself on play, and allows only cards of the specified cost to be gained.
Mind Syphon - Fixed: Mismatched cost resolved.
Mechanical Changes:
Dialogue Choices added to dialogue system
Stage rewards can no longer set your heat to negative values.

it didn't make it into the build i just posted, but I will fix this bug before the end of the month

Might have just been unaware of how to progress, but using the Vers Aura card when there were no valid cards in my hand to apply the resources of seemed to cause a softlock.

I just uploaded a new build that fixes some fatal crashes, including the Bear Head one. Can you be more specific about the card that's causing the crash? There are several cards in game that Forget cards, but I'm not sure which one is pain related.

Clicking the bear head caused a constant crash, and the pain card that forgets a card in your hand caused a crash. Good animation though! <3
