Dark City (1998) used some of the same sets as the Matrix. Dark City (1998) could have been taken right out of some IDW/Dark Horse/Image/ independent comic book mini-series. Dark City (1998) is one the most underrated mind-bending, mystery, noir, scifi movies of all time, and few reactors get to witness its genius. The journey is nuts, insane, epic, and so many other words to describe the incredible amalgamation of genres. Dark City (1998) was really done a disservice by its theatrical version due to studio interference thinking the audience was too dumb and that the viewing plebs needed an opening voiceover that gave away the twists. The few reactors that watch it, and the fans of the cult classic, all agree the Director's cut is the version to watch. PUT DARK CITY: DIRECTOR"S CUT ON THE LIST JImmy, for the love of all the movie gods.
