Omg I remember falling skies! Back when tv shows could greenlight just about any sci fi concept and I would get to enjoy them regardless of how high budget they were. I almost suggested Doctor Who but I wasn’t sure he would enjoy it, I was mainly hyped for him to see the entire cast of British actors in one show lmao

Falling Skies is a great short Sci-fi show, but it's probably not going to get too many votes. Orphan Black is also solid except for one WTF character. To me, the best has to be just the first season of Altered Carbon. It's a complete enough story and the 2nd season isn't worth a bother IMO.

yeah Sir Malcolm is also the kind of character I like. But it could be both of them. Vanessa is my favorite, but Sir Malcolm is a close second 👍

While it stands to reason he would enjoy pretty much all of them, as they are pretty much all awful people - except Vanessa, I’d argue even tho she’s spooky - I’d I think his favourite would be Sir Malcolm. An absolute menace to society.

Someone else said Homeland and I replied in agreement with that. As a patron since 2018 I can confidently say that you would enjoy Homeland Jimmy. At the very least, the first three seasons (there's eight in total) complete a certain narrative that is classic television. The first season won the Emmy for Best Drama. I find a lot of the latter seasons are really good as well and underrated as other elements and characters get increased attention. You wouldn't regret watching the first three seasons of Homeland Jimmy!

Homeland is definitely something Jimmy needs to see eventually, at least the first three seasons. Season one won Emmy for Best Drama. The other five seasons are entertaining too and definitely underrated since they add in great characters and I can confidently say Jimmy would enjoy it, but at least the first three seasons he's gotta give a go since they are classic TV.

Definitely Andor. No question about it. It's only 1 episodes and 1 season currently (the second one will probably be released closer to the end of 24) Bear is also a fantastic show.

Andor (12 episodes, 2022-) - Finally, a Star Wars show that was truly made for adults. It’s a grounded, complex drama about the tyranny of the empire and the cost of rebellion. It’s also very disconnected from the lore - no prerequisite knowledge is required.

The Terror (10 episodes, 2018) - AMC miniseries about the mysterious disappearance of the Franklin Polar Expedition in 1845. Historically authentic, but with a supernatural twist. Has some amazing characters and dialogue - lots of competence porn. Starring Jared Harris, Tobias Menzies, and Ciarán Hinds.

Homeland. It's 9 seasons but only the first 3 are really must watch. Chuck - A more light-hearted spy show but with serious and emotional moments. Continuum - Sci-fi/time travel show with fantastic action.

I know filmbuff just started and that would be cool, I’ve just been itching for him to watch a few others I’ve been keen on but he hasn’t really watched much anime at all. Besides Vinland saga and MHA season 5 I can’t even remember the last show he reacted to 😭 I would like to see jujutsu kaisen and code geass and I’d like to see Monster even if it is a little bit longer.
