My cat of almost 15 years who I've owned since he was a kitten was diagnosed earlier this year with hemangiosarcoma, cancer of the blood vessels. It is a cancer that is extremely rare in cats (only about 2% of reported cases being in cats) and extremely aggressive. It has been so hard these past six months trying to do what I could and make him the most comfortable for the inevitable.
That time has come and I will be saying goodbye to him this week. He has been a weird cat with his lanky body, strange vocalizations, descents into "chasing demons" only he saw, and doing little chomps to get my attention. And he was weird right up until the end. Even the oncologist said so. I will always love that about him and I will miss him beyond words.
What does that mean for you? Honestly nothing. If anything, I'll be more productive because I can't do anything that stimulates my mind too much so my other hobbies are out (the fiction I write is intentionally upsetting and my prefer game genre is Soulslikes so neither are exactly what I want to be doing right now).
I know I had prepared all these meshes before the DLC released and it must be frustrating to have had this delay. I do apologize for that. I had to learn how to work with both Blender and Sims 4 specifics and my collaborator has had an equally tough year. And all this with my cat was happening throughout the spring and summer.
I promise I will continue to work on CC and this is why I don't monetize my work. Life happens and there is really nothing more to do about it when it does.
