Creating a roan from my base pack
🕑 Added 2023-09-26 04:17:32 +0000 UTCI'm going to write up a tutorial on how I make markings as hoof overlays. In the process, I recorded this. I use the chestnut from my base coat pack and only my or in-game stencils/brushes to change it into a red roan.
I would typically spend more than 3 minutes being more meticulous about what I'm adding. I encourage using other custom stencils/markings to get even more detail. This is just a visual on how you can change up the coats with minimal additions to the game.
The white marking is a hoof overlay not a stencil so it isn't affected by paint mode. Once I have a bit of time to gather the screenshots and type it up, I'll explain how I do that and why I choose that over stencils (the short answer is make marking in game-->export with Coat Ripper-->clean up in Photoshop-->import as a hoof overlay in S4S).
And yes, you can see me undo my decisions and redo it in one particular part >_<
