MC notes: Recount 03 Monday
🕑 Added 2021-03-17 16:00:05 +0000 UTCEpisode 3! Finally at the school, meeting the NPCs in more depth, going to classes. During the record everyone spent a good 10-15 minutes making up a schedule of courses they’d be taking. It was very helpful to not have to argue about that for the rest of the campaign! Also fun fact, I forgot to physically describe half the NPCs in the game so I recorded descriptions of them later to stick in where needed. I get too excited or nervous when I’m running a game to remember to give all the details in my brain.
I mentioned in my notes on Episode 1 that we used some custom moves in this campaign. I will probably publish them in a few months (they need some work) but here they are as I wrote them for the game:
VOTE FOR ME: When you convince someone to vote for you, decide how you feel and roll either Turn Someone On or Keep Your Cool. This move can only be rolled by a player once per character (like Put a Face to a Name in Urban Shadows)
On a 12+ the vote is yours to keep
On a 10+ they’ll vote for you (unless someone is more convincing)
On a 7-9 they’ll vote for you if you do something to prove yourself worthy right now
On a miss they will NEVER vote for you! They give you a condition
Vote for me (But a sex move this time)
If you activate your sex move and want more votes, ignore the instructions and replace it with the 10+ Vote For Me result. If another PC is involved, they must consent to this swap.
If you had already rolled VFM on this character you can upgrade your result to the next tier, unless it was a miss. In that case you can tell the other character who NOT to vote for.

A trick I use to remind myself of describing NPCs (because I too get way too excited) is to have a player on "Ribs Reminding Duty" who keeps track of wether or not I have described someone.
