Hey Everyone! It’s Monday! I worked super hard for the last two weeks hoping to get something awesome out, and while I finished it, I’m not putting it out because it doesn’t work properly on Quest, at all. Booo! Completely unreliable framerate that ranges between 8FPS and 120FPS for virtually no reason. I know how to fix it, thankfully, but it’s frustrating.
Because you can’t play with it yourself, I’m putting the (huge) director commentary covering all the new stuff out for everyone. It’s full of goofy jokes and boring content mixed together like usual.
- 00:00-00:10 Opening joke
- 00:10-03:08 Timelapse of header
- 03:08-03:33 Intro
- 03:33-10:40 Feature show-off of Besti Create
- 10:40-16:16 Talk about Unity weirdness
- 16:16-16:47 eqCy logo trailer
- 16:47-17:53 talk about eqCy logo
- 17:53-19:39 Final thoughts + Plans for the week + Outro
The joke “logo trailer” for eqCy is by itself right here. Don’t write me angry letters the trailer is deliberately pointless and tells you nothing :P That’s the joke.
This week I’m going to hopefully finish what was supposed to be out on Friday last week, and then I get to use that program to finish the new NSFW/Horse/Extreme game we’ve named “eqCy.” I’ll be working on that all this month after this first week so let’s see some awesome progress on that.
Next week the first version of Besti Create should come out, which is just what we’re calling major Besti X releases so you can rely on them more. It’s a focus on stability/content creation rather than new technology, because the new technology goes into the side projects (like eqCy) and then filters back into Besti X so you can create content like it yourself. It will also speed up development because then I can make pretty tool interfaces in batches rather than doing them as I create new tools. Each major release of Besti Create will maintain compatibility with other releases, so even if there’s a patch, it will deliberately not break anything. Content created for the first version will work on all of them.

The servers are updated with a new launcher to support the new Besti X variants I’ve programmed so grab the new launcher. There’s also some new (old) stuff that hasn’t been on the server for a while up there so go for it. Goat Mom Simulator (verified to function properly on brand new SteamVR stuff) and WooWooWoo are up there again.
Keys are in separate posts! Get them here or on Discord if you’re on Subscribestar, or get them from your email or your library if you’re on Besti Direct/Gumroad.
Thanks for being awesome <3
